It monitors compliance with government legislation and is responsible for approving the Hospital's budget to meet strategic goals. The Board approves credentialling of physicians, midwives, nurse practitioners and dentists so that they can have privileges at the Hospital. The Board also appoints the President, CEO and Chief of Staff of Cambridge Memorial Hospital. At present, the Board of Governors at Cambridge Memorial Hospital is composed of a committed group of professional volunteers:
