Job Description: Cambridge Memorial Hospital (CMH), is a comprehensive, acute care, community hospital centrally located in the scenic City of Cambridge in southwestern Ontario with easy access to Toronto, Hamilton and London. Nestled along the banks of the Grand River, the city offers both small town charm and major centre amenities. CMH is an affiliated teaching site of the McMaster University School of Medicine and is a RNAO Best Practice Spotlight Organization. CMH is seeking an experienced hospitalist to lead their team of 5 FTEs in the care of acute medicine patients, and consulting on the medical care of inpatient rehabilitation and inpatient mental health patients in their well-established Department of Hospital Medicine. Join Cambridge Memorial Hospital and its progressive team as its Chief Hospitalist The successful candidate will possess an FRCP, CCFP or equivalent, be licensed or eligible with the CPSO, and have expertise in adult general medical inpatient care. Reporting to the Chief of Staff and serving on the Medical Advisory Committee, the Chief will bring clinical excellence and teamwork to ensure that CMH delivers high quality patient care through a well functioning Hospitalist Program. Working in collaboration with the Program Director and Manager, a strong focus for this role will be program development, continuous quality improvement and demonstration of the CMH values: caring, collaboration, innovation, respect and accountability. This is a full time position with a split of clinical and administrative responsibilities.
