Gift of Life Flag

To commemorate National Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Week – April 18-25 – Cambridge Memorial Hospital will be flying the Gift of Life flag in addition to our Canadian flag.

According to the Trillium Gift of Life Network, there are currently 1,600 people on the waiting lift for life saving organ and tissue transplants in Ontario. Only 17% of Ontarians, the Network says, have health cards registered as donors. Education and increased public awareness enable Ontarians to make the important, informed decision to donate their organs and/or tissues and help give the gift of life.
