CMH keys in on worn out electronics during community recycling day April 24

Cambridge Memorial Hospital is doing its part during Earth Week to help local residents recycle worn out electronics. In partnership with Advanced Materials Recovery (AMR), CMH will be hosting a city-wide electronics recycling day in the parking lot at the back of the hospital.

There will be two 40-yard bins (20 feet long by 8 feet wide by 8 feet high) on site where people will do a drive-thru, entering the grounds at the Main Entrance and exiting at the Ambulatory Care end of the building. As people approach the drop-off area, all they need to do is pop the trunk and the donated items will be taken out and sorted by AMR staff into one of the two bins.

Everyone is asked to make an on-site cash donation for the disposal of their electronics, with all proceeds going to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Advanced Materials Recovery specializes in recycling electronic waste and product destruction for the public sector. Cambridge Memorial Hospital is a customer of AMR’s stewardship program.
