What is a PDF? PDFs are files saved in the Adobe Portable Document Format. PDF is an industry-standard document format that allows anyone with the free Adobe Reader to view and print PDF files. Acrobat Reader is free for download at Adobe’s site.

PDF files can be opened in your browser (click once); OR saved to your hard drive (right click and “Save Target As”). We recommend that you save large files directly to your hard drive.
How do I learn to use Adobe Acrobat Reader?
If you have never worked with a PDF file before, you may want to review the Reader Guide in the Acrobat application (in the menu: Help > Reader Guide) to find out more about using PDFs. Adobe’s web site has a complete Adobe Acrobat Reader Support section for further reference.
