Cambridge, Ontario – Cambridge Memorial Hospital (CMH) is looking forward to a bright future. It will embark on a new capital redevelopment campaign that will see an expansion of services. Its finances are sound. It is continually improving its services, like reducing wait times.
All of these initiatives were part of a strategic plan that helped guide the hospital with its decision making. This plan was completed in March 2014 and the hospital is in the process of renewing it.
"This is an exciting time for us. We are in a position where we can influence and shape the kind of hospital our community wants us to be. Naturally, we want to hear from our patients, their families and the public. We want them to tell us what we do well, where we can do better and the one thing that is most important to them in a hospital," says Patrick Gaskin, CMH’s president and CEO.
There are three ways the public can express their opinions and participate. Media are welcome to attend:
– Mr. Gaskin will be at the Cambridge Mall, by the Community Kiosk. Drop by between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. to speak with him.
– Mr. Gaskin will facilitate an open community session
June 2 to 16 – Complete the "Have a say in your hospital’s future" on-line survey, which can be found at www.cmh.org.
