Overnight Stay at the Hospital

About This Program

CMH offers several services to make your stay at the hospital as comfortable and stress free as possible.


Patient Meal Service

Three meals per day are delivered to all inpatient units. Food preference forms are available by asking your nurse or a food service staff member. Food preferences may take up to one day to process. Your menu may be different if you need a specific diet.

There is a patient-only kitchenette that provides juices, pop, tea, coffee and snacks. A fridge, toaster, microwave and hot water and ice maker are available for patient use.


Sheets and pillowcases will be changed every five days or when soiled. Fresh towels and face cloths will be provided daily. You may wish to supply your own pillow and blanket.

Television and Telephone

You can arrange to rent a bedside television or telephone by completing and returning an order form located at the Surgical Inpatient front desk or by calling 519-621-2330 ext 1357. Prices and payment methods are identified on the forms. Forms are collected and service is activated once daily. You can also visit How to Rent at the Hospitality Network site to find out the rental rates for CMH. TV/Phone services are provided by Hospitality Network. A portion of the revenue from rental services is donated to CMH.

WiFi Service

Stay connected to your world. Wi-fi is free for all inpatients, outpatients and visitors. 

What I Need to Know

Please bring any personal assistive devices that you require for your appointment. For example, any communication or mobility device you many need like a walker, hearing aid, etc.
