
CMH is trialing the Heidi AI in the Emergency Department. Heidi is a scribe AI and works like an assistant. It uses artificial intelligence to listen and write down what the patient and care providers talk about during the visit. It is not an audio recording; rather what it hears is transcribed into notes. Not only does it keep accurate records, it enables care providers to spend more time with the patient by reducing the need to types notes into the system.
It is our commitment that patients and their loved ones understand how it works and request your permission to use it. Below are some common questions patients may have prior to their visit to the emergency department.
