In-person essential care partner visits have resumed. Please note that hospitals will continue with its current safety protocols. This includes completing COVID-19 screening upon arrival or online within 24 hours of visit/appointment, proof of being fully vaccinated for essential care partners, wearing a hospital-issued mask and maintaining physical distancing while in hospital. This precaution is to protect our resumption of vital services, like surgeries, and because of the continued high prevalence of COVID in our community. Click to learn more.
Rehabilitation
About This Program
Cambridge Memorial Hospital's In-patient Rehabilitation unit is temporarily suspended due to construction. When it reopens in 2024, the new Rehabilitation Unit will boast modern patient rooms, spacious therapeutic areas and an enhanced patient experience.
The 14 regional beds assigned to Cambridge have been transferred to Grand River Hospital's Freeport site. Patients needing acute rehabiitation within the Waterloo Wellington area will be assigned to either Freeport in Kitchener or St. Joseph's in Guelph.
